Welcome to Environmental Emissions & Odour Laboratory

Environmental Emissions & Odour Laboratory, within Centre for Water & Waste Technology (CWWT) at The University of New South Wales, specilises in odour research and training for studying atmospheric emissions and environmental air pollution control. The odour research group and associated odour laboratory were established in 1991. Our experties in odour includes: Sampling of odorous air pollutants, including odours and some specific odorous compounds (VOCs, etc.) from various odour sources. Development and optimisation of some sampling devices for sampling from different odour sources, including flux hood (isolation chamber), flux chamber and wind tunnel. Measurement, test and monitoring of odour concentration and intensity. Odour dispersion modelling and impact assessment for existing and proposed projects against required regulatory odour performace criteria.
